Trained therapist, Jean Habron, who specialises in Kundalini Yoga and Sound Therapy, is to begin classes at Brockholes Village Hall, commencing with a sound therapy session on Sunday 6 June 2021 from 6.00 – 7.00pm.
Sound baths offer spa-like sessions aimed at helping people relax and restore. One of the greatest benefits is relief from stress and anxiety.
Jean said, ’We can find ourselves holding on to negative energy or feel heaviness in our heart. A sound bath will give you the opportunity to let go of all of that and just return to a state of calm and well-being. There is a lot of research that shows the physical and psychological benefits of sound therapy including calming body and mind, increasing focus and clarity, decreasing tension and fatigue, improving sleep and giving you more energy’.
Jean expects that after each session people will feel an overall sense of relaxation, uplifted and inspired as they connect with their own positive energy.
Kundalini Yoga is an ancient practice that offers the tools for self -empowerment. It helps to elevate mood, increases focus, increase energy levels, induces calmness and brings clarity to the mind. It is an uplifting practice that combines breath work, movement, mantra and relaxation. These aspects energise the body, relax the mind and awaken the spirit. Kundalini yoga works on all the systems of the physical body, in particular the glandular system, the nervous system and the spine.
Suitable for all levels of fitness and suitable for beginners.
Further sound therapy classes will be held on 22 August and 26 September, while on the 18 July from 2.00 – 4.30pm will be a joint kundalini yoga/sound therapy class hosted by Jean and Craig Eddington sound therapy practitioner and trainer .
